- Q. Why is Creative Expressions conducting this recall?
- A. We are conducting this recall to keep our customers safe and prevent injuries by removing the product.
- Q. How can I tell if my product is affected by the recall?
- A. Look on the UPC label on the front of the package for item number 20-5749 (UPC number: 0 73525 57472 1).
- Q. How can I take advantage of the recall?
- A. Your Creative Expressions Sales Representative will contact you. The Creative Expressions Sales Representative will remove product from your store and will issue a credit at the item level for product in the store. When received, you may use the credit memo from Creative Expressions on your next remittance.
- Q. What is the problem with my product?
- A. Foil fringe can be removed from the bottom of the hat, causing a potential choking hazard for small children under three years of age. Since this item is intended for use at a child’s First Birthday Party, Creative Expressions has decided to voluntarily recall this product.
- Q. My product appears to be okay. Can I continue to sell it?
- A. No. Even though your product appears to be safe, we are asking all retailers to immediately stop selling the product and participate in the recall by removing product from the store shelf/inventory. Your Creative Expressions Sales Representative will remove product from your store.
- Q. I no longer have inventory of the product. Can I still receive a credit?
- A. No. You can only receive credit for remaining inventory.
- Q. Will I receive a refund or credit for the product?
- A. Yes. You will receive a credit which will be issued by your Creative Expressions Sales Representative.
- Q. Will there be another birthday hat offered in place of this hat?
- A. Yes. It will be Creative Expressions item number 20-1749, which is the same hat without fringe. Product is expected to be available July 2007.
- Q. Can I fix the product myself?
- A. No. We urge you not to attempt to fix the product yourself.
